大洛杉矶地区 (英语：Greater Los Angeles Area)

大洛杉矶地区 又称南加州，指的是美国加利福尼亚州南部的一个横跨5个县的大型联合统计区：洛杉矶县（Los Angeles）、橙县（Orange）、圣伯纳迪诺县(SanBernardino)、河滨县(Riverside)以及文图拉县(Ventura)。 华人喜爱的置业点在圣盖博谷的东区、西区以及橙县，前两者属于洛杉矶县，后者也被称为橘子郡(Orange county)。

洛杉矶得天独厚的阳光，沙滩，大别墅正是洛杉矶都会区的迷人特色。它因此吸引了全美37%的华人会定居加州, 也就不足为奇了。

注：我们常说的洛杉矶有三种：洛杉矶市，洛杉矶县，大洛杉矶地区. 这三个地区的关系是： 洛杉矶市是隶属洛杉矶县的一个城市，洛杉矶县隶属于大洛杉矶地区。在美国，县级相当于郡级。众多的城市聚集在一起隶属县级（郡级）。这和中国的城市地区行政划分有很大的不同。总结来说：洛杉矶是美国第二大城市，以洛杉矶为核心的南加州城市群同样为美国第二大都市圈，是一座名副其实的巨型城市。

亚凯迪亚有很好的公立学校，这是许多中上阶层亚裔移民家庭所追求的。他们希望子女在美国接受优良的教育，将来进入好大学而且有理想的职业。

此外，阿凯迪亚已经有相当规模的亚裔移民小区和相对周边较高的生活质量，这些也对其他地区的亚洲新移民家庭有吸引力。

阿凯迪亚联合学区有一所著名的高中－阿凯迪亚高中，三所初中－第一街初中，理查德·亨利·德纳初中，和山麓初中，以及六所小学－鲍德温·史托克小学，卡弥诺·格罗夫小学，高地橡树小学，冬青街小学，雨果·里德小学和朗雷路小学。阿凯迪亚学区的亚裔生已成为多数，几乎达到三分之二。

美国《商业周刊》（Business Week）评选出「2009年最适合养育孩子城市」名单，亚凯迪亚市成为全美最适育儿城市之一。2010年阿市再度蝉联全美最适合养育孩子城市，在加州排名第一，而全美排名第五。2013年阿凯迪亚高中的API学术成绩是893分，接近九百分。初中和小学的API学术成绩全部在九百分以上...
